Mr. Marcel Proulx: When will the government launch a public inquiry to uphold Canada's credibility and protect its international reputation?
Hon. Dominic LeBlanc: Why did the Conservatives impose their poor judgment on these brave generals? Why did they prefer to order a quick transfer when they were aware of the risks of torture?
The government in power has to take responsibility for that power. Their actions and orders affect those subject to them. They put us (including the military) at risk. They want to be in power? They need to accept responsibility for wielding that power.
