The evil leprechaun failed to see the economic crisis coming, even mocking those who warned of its inevitability, swore he would not run a deficit, was way off several times predicting how much the deficit would be when finally forced to acknowledge there would be one, and economists overwhelmingly state that his current plan to reduce the deficit is, metaphorically speaking, something Sunshine Care Bear alone would believe.
Hard not to laugh at this news, were it not so painfully embarrassing:
Finance Minister Jim Flaherty says other developed nations should come up with clearer plans on how they are going to get their weighty budget deficits under control.
So just shut the hell up, Jimbo. Besides, the international financial community has
the real deal giving advice.

Now now, I'd think Flaherty's statement makes perfect sense. At least if you add "so he can copy them" at the end.
