That explains why the CONs do nothing on the environmental files

Cracking down on water pollution from raw sewage is a "morality" issue that must be done in partnership between governments, federal Environment Minister John Baird said Monday..."It is not an environmental issue," he said Monday. "It is a morality question to be dumping ... what essentially is raw sewage into our lakes, rivers, oceans and streams."
So no need to spend money preventing pollution of our water.  Just deliver a good, stern lecture on morality.

Somehow, I don’t think Baird has mastered morality enough to lecture anyone on it.

You know what else is a morality issue, false imprisonment. We should not be compensating anyone who suffers this plight, its not a violation. A sincere apology should suffice. In fact all issues can be called morality issues...Why do we have such large government organizations to deal with them if that's not their mandate? Heck, tax evasion is a moral issue, we should just do away with the Canada revenue agency and work on creating a partnership between individuals and government, I am sure we won't suffer bankruptcy to often.
