While support for all parties has changed little in the opening days of the 2011 campaign, Michael Ignatieff may be starting to catch some voters’ ears.
I've said before I'm not an Ignatieff fan, but he's been running a decent campaign and I like his platform so far. He's been approachable, human, even kind of fun and he's keeping the focus on people and their personal needs while showing how this can fit into a healthy, vibrant country with a strong economy.
So Canadians are warming up to him...a little. Not that big of a challenge, Mike, when you're biggest opponent has all the personality of a chunk of concrete.
Keep it up. Kich steve's ass, then prepare to have Canadians kick yours if you get out of line.
(grumble...hey, it's a start...)

Went to Franco-Manitoban Club here in Winnipeg to hear Iggy speak last night with my neighbour. Critical of Iggy in the past, I have to say I was surprised; it was an impressive and straightforward performance. PLUS he actually took questions in a Town Hall format... lots of them!
I know the place was packed with Lib supporters like my neighbour, but I gotta say there was a certain energy in the air... a good energy. So, at this juncture, I am going to hope/pray that Iggy keeps it up... and if he can - when all is said & done - I'm pretty sure I will be casting my vote for Lib Terry Duguid here in South Winnipeg. Not just because I hate all that Rod Bruinooge stands for; but because I think (err..hope?)that what I heard tonight held a promise.
